Gig Buddies Scotland enables people with a learning disability to get out to more events and enjoy the social life they choose. It does this by paring members with a volunteer who shares the same interests as them. 'Gig Buddies' then choose which events they go to each month and enjoy their shared passion together. Gig Buddies also runs a number of regular social events that anyone is welcome to come along to.

The California Poor People’s Campaign with Nell Myhand. Join Nell Myhand from The Poor People's Campaign, A National Call for Moral Revival, picking up the unfinished work of dismantling racism, poverty and militarism (and added ecological devastation and the distorted moral narrative) undertaken in 1968 by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., has developed a moral fusion movement with art, music and movement central to our base building in over 40 states in the U.S. This workshop will focus on how our fundamental principles and demands that the needs and concerns of the 140 million poor and low income people (pre-covid) be addressed, are translated into cultural works.

In the period between 2016 and 2017, Tom went through a dramatic transformation, losing over 260 pounds in weight. Since his weight loss, Tom has been training in opera, and sang Nessun Dorma at the 2017 BBC Proms In The Park with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Arielle Noble of Belonging in the USA films will show the first 30 minutes of their newest rough cut “Belonging in the USA: The Story of Alicia & Antonio” documentary and do a q&a/get some audience feedback. Filmed in Chicago, LA, & New Jersey in 2018, the second film in the Belonging series features the life stories of poet, political activist, and professor Alicia Partnoy and her filmmaker, activist husband Antonio Leiva both political refugees forced into exile after being imprisoned and tortured for their social justice work during Argentina's "Dirty War" of the 1970s. Their story is one of the triumph of the human spirit over circumstances, love over hate, and joy over oppression.
